Independence and conflicts of interest
AJMG advises councils, agencies, and asset owners on transport electrification and EV charging infrastructure. Much of that work touches procurement. Clients should know where our interests sit before they engage us, so we set it out here rather than on request.
Our JOLT relationship
AJMG's founder and principal, Andrew Giannasca, was a founding team member at JOLT, one of Australia's first commercial kerbside EV charging networks. He held an operating role there until January 2026 and retains a residual minority interest in the company. He holds no board seat, no management role, and no operational involvement. Beyond that shareholding, AJMG receives no fees, commissions, or referral payments from JOLT, or from any other charge point operator, hardware supplier, or software provider.
That background is a large part of why clients engage us. It is also a live interest, and we treat it as one.
How we work
AJMG is vendor agnostic. We hold no reseller agreements, distribution arrangements, or commercial partnerships with any charging vendor, and we are not paid by any supplier for any outcome on any engagement.
On procurement work, our role is to build the process, not to decide it. We prepare technical specifications, tender documentation, evaluation criteria, weightings, and scoring frameworks. The client applies them. We do not sit on evaluation panels, score or rank bids, or recommend a preferred supplier. The award decision rests with the client and its own governance.
Disclosure and probity
We disclose the JOLT interest in writing at the start of every engagement and in every quotation or tender response, whether or not it is asked for. Where a client's probity framework requires it, we will sign a conflict of interest declaration, work under a probity adviser's oversight, or accept scope conditions that keep AJMG clear of evaluation activity. If a conflict arises that cannot be managed on those terms, we will say so and step back from that part of the work.
